The Hospital of Southern Jutland is located in the Region
of Southern Denmark with activities spread out in mainly
two cities, Aabenraa and Sønderborg.
In total, the Hospital of Southern Jutland has around 300
beds and treats each year up to 430,000 admitted and
ambulant patients. The Emergency Centre in Aabenraa,
the emergency function in Sønderborg, and the injury
clinics in Tønder receive up to 37,000 of the ambulant
visits.
The hospital has a strong focus on strengthening research. The Medical Research Unit is responsible for research focusing on patients with chronic diseases and sector transitions, including nephrology.
➡️ Medical Diseases are divided into 4 sections, spread
across 3 centres in Sønderborg,Tønder and Aabenraa:
- Diabetes, Hormone, Kidney and Geriatric Diseases consisting of the specialities of endocrinology ,
nephrology and geriatrics, which includes two wards
with Diabetes, Hormone and Kidney Diseases Ward in
Sønderborg and Geriatric Diseases Ward in Aabenraa.
- Pulmonary diseases and gastrointestinal diseases consist of the specialities of pulmonary medicine and
gastroenterology, which consists of two wards in
Sønderborg and Aabenraa.
- Medical Reception and Medical Day Hospital in Tønder handles the reception of acute medical patients, the
Diagnostic Centre and the Medical Reception Outpatient Clinic.
- Cancer and Blood Diseases and the Palliative Care Team consisting of the specialities of oncology, haematology
and palliative care, which consists of a ward for palliative
care and internal medicine.
✅ KIDNEY DEPARTMENT’S STRUCTURE
• Kidney diseases, Outpatient Clinic: clinic
provides assessment and treatment of patients
with kidney disease
• Posedialysis Outpatient Clinic: trains and treats
patients in posedialysos (peritonea l
dialysis/peritoneal dialysis)
• Dialysis Outpatient Clinic: treats patients on
haemodialysis and home haemodialysis
• Wound Outpatient Clinic: treats patients with
chronic wounds
• Renal diseases, inpatient ward: treats patients
with kidney diseases
✅ DIABETES, HORMONE AND KIDNEY DISEASES
• A ward with 18 beds for patients with internal medical problems, including speciality patients within nephrology, endocrinology and medical wounds, kidney disease outpatient clinic with general nephrology, peritoneal dialysis and MMU
• Haemodialysis outpatient clinic including limited care and HHD, joint outpatient clinic for diabetes and kidney disease
• Endocrinology outpatient clinic, wound care outpatient clinic

ONLINE COURSES:
To provide the necessary teaching for our candidates, our Partners switched the teaching model to online teaching.
This means some new things for the candidates.
1) it is not necessary anymore to come to Budapest, but the course still super-intensive so the candidates have to prioritize the language teaching
2) the teaching hours are flexible as same as the date of the course start
3) the maximum amount of candidates per course is 4-5 participants
4) the length of the course is minimum 4-5 months and a minimum of 300 teaching lessons (45 minutes)
5) the candidates still have to pass the necessary exams and participate 85% of the online classes
6) the candidates still entitled for the €1000/month settlement assistance during the course, maximum 5 times
