- Purpose of Role:
Work within a community setting caring for a child or adult with complex medical needs. Care is provided in the client’s own home and the nurse will deliver excellent ongoing care, in a stable environment

🔴 Responsibilities
· To provide a professional, high quality and safe service to clients with complex medical needs in their home. · As part of a team and in consultation with the family ensure that the totality of the client’s needs are met in a child/young adult centred way.
· To support individuals to live as independent as possible within their own homes and community, ensuring each individual has the opportunity for development.
· Professional engagement with clients is focused in generating quality relationships, which are supportive and life enhancing.
· Provide opportunities of choice, self-advocacy and participation in matters relating to their home as well as facilitating access to community services and facilities.
· Provide support to each client with all aspects of everyday living including personal care and hygiene.
· Assessment and delivery client care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of care plans.
· Ensure that the nursing practices within the homecare setting comply with nursing policies and procedures and maintain high standards of nursing practice.
· Adhere to evidence-based practice of nursing according to the Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics for Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives of the NMBI.
· Ensure that all issues relating to the implementation of clinical governance are addressed.
· Maintain and review the standards of care on a regular basis.
· Participate in any changes which need to be implemented to improve the service following complaints and take appropriate risk management action.
· Respond to complaints following the complaints procedure.
· Provide education and support working within the team setting with the Healthcare Assistants.
· To attend all mandatory training and updates in clinical practice.
· Receive and relate complex clinical information to the Nurse Manager, based on the client’s clinical condition and interventions being carried out.
· To complete accurate and professional clinical notes pertaining to the client
· To be aware of safe working conditions and implement safe working practices in all work areas and report potential hazards, incidents and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
· Report all incidents/near misses, equipment repair requirements and illnesses to the Nurse Manager.
· Adhere to relevant policies and procedures.
· The nurse is expected to behave in a professional manner at all times, and to act as an ambassador for the company.
🔴 Qualifying Criteria
· A registered nurse, Children’s/General/Intellectual Disability
· NMBI Decision Letter
· Valid IELTS/OET· Clinical children and/ or adult experience and homecare experience advantageous
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently
· Flexible
· Person Care Centred
🔴 Salary and Remuneration Package
Successful candidates will be offered the following package;
Permanent Full Time Employment Contract
Typical earnings of between 💰 €38,000 and €46,000/ year depending on experience. These figures are calculated on a basic hourly day rate and do not include night rate, weekend or bank holiday premium.
Minimum Day Rate €18.80 per Hour
Minimum Night Rate €23.50 Per Hour
Sunday and Bank Holiday Premiums paid
Minimum Bank Holiday Day rate €37-45 Per Hour depending on experience
Minimum Bank Holiday Night rate €42-51 Per Hour depending on experience
➡️ Guarantee of 39 hours a week with option to work above your contracted hours

➡️ NMBI Application & Registration – fee reimbursed €495
➡️RCSI Aptitude Test – fee reimbursed €2,800
➡️ RCSI Preparation and Mandatory Training €1,000

Support in preparation for successful completion of RCSI Adaptation exam
