Main responsibility: Transporting ADR Liquids (aceton/styrene) – between port of Rotterdam, port of Antwerp and the Ruhr region.
Possible trailers: Tank container & tank/cistern
Kind of trucks MAN Euro6 with a semi-manual gear transmission
Trips: International trips in Benelux, Germany, sometimes France
Communication driver/dispatch Every driver get`s a company mobile phone with whatsapp
Driving & Loading/Unloading:
Start of the job most of the time every Monday early in the morning.
Seldom - Sunday night.
The driver gets all information about work schedule from the office on paper– for example: where to pick an empty container or information about the destination to pick up a full one. The drivers work within the triangle – the port of Rotterdam, Antwerp and Ruhr region (DE), sometimes also to France.
The drivers have to take their (legal) breaks during the day! Stick to the driving hours law – respect the tacho!
Planners take care that the drivers come back to the base at the end of the week (sometimes it happens that a driver has to stay away from the base for a weekend – paid of course). With loading/unloading – all drivers need to follow clients’ procedures.
Number of addresses a day That is very different. Could be 1 or 3 a day.
Work schedule: we are looking for drivers who wants to work longer periods (like 12:2).
Working Period The whole year, without any interruptions
Transport to the Netherlands By own car or plain
Place of departure (start work) Near Breda – The Netherlands
Transport from housing to work No housing, the driver sleeps in the truck. Facilities available at the base.
Requirements
Driving license Valid C+E License
Additional courses Code95/Driver Qualification Card + Tank ADR
Additional papers An Electronic Drivers Card Digital Tachograph Card
Experience: as a truck driver Min. 24 months of experience with driving C+E and experience with tank(container)
Knowledge of foreign languages Min. B Level German, or B2 English.
Skills Driver gets a company phone and needs to communicate by whatsapp.
Experience with a box (container chassis).
Experience in the ports of Rotterdam, Antwerp and Ruhr
Traits Well Organised, Motivated, very Communicative
Every driver has his own truck. No changes in truck.
Salary information
Basic salary D3 (€ 15,68) at the start and D5 (€ 16,96) after 6 worked weeks
Reservations (extra/bonus on top) 10,82% paid holiday & 8.33% holiday money and 1.38% ADV
Overtime percentages Basic overtime: 130% / Saturday: 150% / Sunday: 200%
Total working hours per week ±55 (around 10 – 12 hours a day – working, not only driving)
Collective Labour Agreement TLN (www.tln.nl)
Average weekly salary after costs € 975,- net ( on the bank account) = € 4.200 net/month and more
Additional Information
For our Dutch client near Breda we are looking for International CE Truck Drivers with valid tank/cistern ADR .
This company is transporting liquids with tank containers trailers and regular tanks. The trips are mainly between the ports of Rotterdam (Holland), Antwerp (Belgium) and Ruhr region (Germany). A candidate must have experience with those places and a little experience with a “box” – so a tank container or a sea container, or BDF container. It`s a steady job, not seasonal!
Each driver gets his own truck and will keep it as long as he will work within the company.
Almost every weekend the drivers are at the base. They can cook, eat and shower there (facilities available).
It`s a small family company where on daily basis the drivers are in touch with the owner himself.
Safety and respect for each other are the nr. 1 subjects within this job.
Very important to mention is the following:
On regular basis the driver will have to wait for loading/unloading at the terminal. Sometimes the waiting takes even 12 – 24 hours or longer. From the waiting time all is paid by the rule 17/24. So if you wait for 24 hours, 17 hours are paid.
On many terminals it`s forbidden to make use of a mobile phone or tablet. So having a paper book or something with you, is not a bad idea.
On average a single truck is driving between 70.000 and 80.000 km in a year. This gives a certain view about the driven distances
