🟥 Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Bucharest, Romania
We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations for our client, a prominent player in the logistics and transportation market. As CFO, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of the company and ensuring robust financial governance and operational excellence in Romania.
🔴 Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement long-term business and financial strategies to support company goals.
- Team Management: Define and manage the structure of the accounting, controlling, cash management, and information systems teams to align with organizational objectives.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure the production of annual financial documents in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and quality of internal processes. Monitor financial performance and provide detailed analyses of budget vs. actual results.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flows, forecast future trends, and manage banking relationships effectively.
- Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare monthly financial reports on performance against budget and forecast (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow).
- Analyze financial statements and prepare periodic updates on liquidity and organizational growth.
- Ensure the accurate application of accounting standards for cost management and reporting.
- Decision Support: Partner with operational leaders to evaluate financial options for site expansions, renewals, and other facility-related investments, providing data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Capital Management: Arrange financing solutions for company debts and oversee capital expenditure forecasting.
- External Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with auditors, bankers, solicitors, and other statutory organizations.
- Continuous Improvement:
Investigate variances from budgeted performance, propose corrective actions, and enhance reporting processes.
- Support initiatives to build a business intelligence platform for financial and operational performance tracking globally.
🔴 Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Experience:
A minimum of 5 years in senior financial roles (e.g., Chief Accountant, Financial Manager, Deputy CFO, or CFO) within large multinational companies.
- Strong knowledge of corporate reporting standards, including IFRS/GAAP, and financial reporting.
