About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will:
- Manage SQL Databases: Design, implement, and optimize SQL databases for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Develop Data Ingestion Processes: Use APIs, Elasticsearch, and other techniques for data loading.
- Build Azure Data Factory Pipelines: Create and manage data pipelines within Azure Data Factory.
- ETL Development: Design and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into our data warehouse.
- Ensure Data Quality: Implement quality checks to maintain data integrity throughout the ETL process.
- Support Azure Cloud Operations: Ensure the reliability and scalability of data movement in the Azure environment.
- Migrate to Snowflake: Assist in transitioning our data sources to Snowflake.
- Proactively Solve Problems: Identify and resolve data-related issues, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with various teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
- Communicate Effectively: Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain Documentation: Keep thorough records of all data engineering processes.
- Ensure Data Security: Adhere to data security and compliance standards, implementing necessary safeguards.
- Implement CI/CD Pipelines: Use version control systems and CI/CD pipelines for efficient workflow management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Proven experience in SQL database design and optimization.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
Proficiency in building and managing Azure Data Factory pipelines.
Strong skills in ETL development and data modeling.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
A proactive mindset with the ability to work both independently and in teams.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in English.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Familiarity with big data technologies.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
- Relevant certifications in data engineering technologies.
