➡️ Job Description:

The medical clinic provides specialized outpatient and inpatient care within all internal medicine specialities and neurology.

The Clinic is good connected (transport) with Stockholm. The location is in a city with around 140.000 citizens, one hour far from Stockholm.

The clinic has approximately 100 inpatient beds spread across five care departments and 600 employees, of which 60 are specialist doctors.

The clinic conducts teaching of medical candidates and doctor students and currently has approx. 20 resident doctors undergoing training in the clinic's various specialities.

➡️ Responsabilities:

The clinics are looking for a specialist doctor in gastroenterology with clinical competence and experience that corresponds to the gastroenterology activities conducted at the Medical Clinic,
- preferably with an interest and expertise in teaching and research.
At the Gastrosection, evidence-based gastroenterological care is conducted according to national and European guidelines and care programs.
The work is largely team-based (doctors, nurses and dieticians) and patient-centred (focus on patient information, participation and self-care).

The position includes full-time work within the section's various activities (outpatient and inpatient care):
- outpatient care, including daycare with diagnostics (capsule enteroscopy, sigmoidoscopy) and treatments (parenteral nutrition, immunomodulating treatment, ascites drainage, etc.)

- endoscopy operations (colonoscopy, gastroscopy, EUS, ERC) within the auspices of the Surgery Department
- ward operations, responsibility for examination and treatment of inpatients (approx. 8-10) in the gastroenterology ward
- consultancy, i.e. specialist support in gastroenterology for other operations within the Medical Clinic and other specialist clinics at the hospital and primary care.

- To have medical and specialist titles issued or recognized by the European Union.

- To show interest in teamwork and be willing to contribute to the clinic's development.

- To be able to complete the intensive Swedish language course, which is part of the MediCarrera program.

➡️ Conditions:

The position has a training period of 6 months before the permanent position as a specialist.
Salary for a new specialist with no experience: 70.000 sek / month (6152 euros) gross.
The average salary for a specialist doctors in Sweden is between 80.000 and 110.000 sek/month (7000-9600€) gross, duties paid separately.
The salary is set individually according to specialist’s years of experience

➡️ About the language course:

We and our Partner offer a free language course for the whole family, after the doctor/nurse signs the contract with the hospital.

The language course has:

1. an online part (normally two months, doesn’t require full dedication, the doctor/nurse live in their own country and continue their normal life)

2. an intensive part (requires full dedication so the doctor/nurse needs to stop work and move to the language centre together with the partner and children). Our course centers are located in Barcelona or Budapest.

The length of the intensive part is 5-6 months for Swedish (advanced, C1 level).

Accommodation at the language centre is provided (the apartment during the language course and the costs like electricity, water, internet). The food is NOT paid for. In all this period the doctor will receive a remuneration of 1000 euro/month for food expenses .
