➡️ What is unique about this position is that they are offering a Danish language course in Denmark with a full salary from the start.
This means that after a successful recruitment process, which involves an online interview and a visit to Denmark, the candidates can move to Denmark once their notice period at their current job is over. This lets them start learning the language and getting used to the culture in a native setting

What does this language course involve?
The first weeks of the course will be full-time language training.
After that, the classes will be part-time, and the new colleague can start going to the clinic a few hours.
The language training for the first 3 months will focus on beginner languages.
After the first 3 months of language training, classes will be planned that lead towards B2 level with the goal of getting ready to pass the Danish 3 exam.
Moreover, the doctor's spouse (if any) is also invited to participate in the language course, giving best start for the whole family!
➡️ About the position:
- A specialist physician specialising in nephrology with experience and interest in internal medicine is sought for the Medical Diseases Department at the Hospital.
Medical diseases are divided into 4 departments, spread across 3 centres, each department is headed by a senior consultant and several senior nurses. The professional management is supported by senior physicians with areas of responsibility.
The departments are:
• Diabetes, Hormone, Kidney and Elderly Diseases consisting of the specialities endocrinology, nephrology and geriatrics, there are outpatient clinics in all specialities, including haemodialysis and dementia clinics, as well as the medical wound clinic.
• Lung and Gastrointestinal Diseases consisting of the specialities pulmonary medicine and gastroenterology, as well as associated outpatient clinics and scopy function in both specialities..
• The Medical Reception and Medical Day Hospital handles the reception of acute medical patients, the Diagnostic Centre and the Medical Reception Outpatient Clinic. In other Center, there is only an outpatient function, including emergency reception of outpatients.Cancer and Blood Diseases and Palliative Care Team consisting of the specialities of oncology, haematology and palliative care, which consists of a palliative care ward and internal medicine ward, outpatient clinics in the specialities and an outpatient palliative care team.
Medical Diseases has around 100 beds.
The department employs approx. 100 doctors, of which 40 are trainee doctors at the various centres.
As our future colleague, you will primarily work in the areas of Diabetes, Endocrine and Kidney Diseases located at the Sønderborg campus.
Diabetes, Hormone and Kidney Disease consists of:
• An 17-bed ward with patients with internal medicine problems, including speciality patients in nephrology, endocrinology and medical wounds.
• Renal medicine outpatient clinic with general nephrology, peritoneal dialysis and MMU
• Haemodialysis outpatient clinic including limited care and HHD.
• Joint outpatient clinic for diabetes and kidney disease
• Endocrinology outpatient clinic
• Wound ambulatorium
The specialists participate in the medical back shift to a limited extent. Consultant nephrologists are part of the 5-shift nephrology on-call rota.
- They are looking for a specialist doctor who wants to contribute to the further development of the nephrology speciality .
They have nephrology at the main functional level, but in collaboration with OUH, we are working to increase our services to patients and bring home as many check-ups and treatments as possible, for the benefit of the population of Southern Jutland.
- They are looking for a nephrologist who, together with the department's other nephrologists, wants to collaborate across a large internal medicine department as well as across the Region of Southern Denmark.
Tasks: As a general task, the nephrology consultant must contribute to ensuring the patient pathway for the internal medicine and nephrology patient both during hospitalisation and as an outpatient, taking into account population responsibility and resources. Speciality related tasks:
• Specialised on-call duty with rounds on nephrology patients and advisory function for general practitioners and other hospital departments
• Steps on haemodialysis
• Nephrology outpatient clinic
• Nephrology emergency on-call
Internal medical tasks:
• Internal medicine ward rounds
• Medical Back Guard at the Medical Centre
Other:
• Allocate 1 monthly administration day
• Creation/revision of instructions depending on area of responsibility
We expect you to:
• be a specialist in nephrology, EU trained and EU citizenship.
• have experience and interest in internal medicine and willingness to work with such tasks as well at the department
