Job Description:

Would you like to work for a reputable European Union Agency based in Strasbourg in France?

Our client is looking to hire four Network Specialists (4 positions)

EU LISA is responsible for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA), a EU Agency established to provide a long-term solution for the operational management of large-scale IT systems, which are essential instruments in the implementation of the asylum, border management and migration policies of the EU.

Nature of Tasks:

Architect, design, install and configure network solutions (switches, firewalls, routers, load balancers, SDN solutions, VPN, network protocols, network encryptors etc)
Implement network maintenance routines and schedules
Implement and operate orchestration/automation tooling to maintain and extend network solutions
Implement and operate network management, reporting and monitoring tooling
Troubleshoot, diagnose and solve network issues
Implement and operate network-related software providing shared services
Implement network backup, restore, performance tuning and analysis
Produce and maintain network technical documentation and operational procedures
Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures
Planning, installing, testing and conducting surveys of wireless network installations
Architect, design, install and configure network solutions

Requirements

Must Have's:

- Minimum 10 years experience in a related field
- Network and/or wireless certification which could include: CISCO Certified, Network Administrator CCNA and/or CCNA-wireless (CCNA-W) and/or Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CNWA) or equivalent, WLC and WAP
- A network SME with extensive design expertise
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure hardware and software
- Strong knowledge of investigation, diagnosis and resolution of network problems
- Ability to implement, administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers
- Strong knowledge of secure layered tunneling, VPNs (including client based and site to site)
- Good technical knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching and network engineering
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting of Ethernet based telecommunication networks

Screening Questions:

1. Do you have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field?

3. Do you have network experience in SME with extensive design expertise?
4. Do you have a strong understanding of network infrastructure hardware and software?
5. Do you have strong knowledge of investigation, diagnosis and resolution of network problems?
6. Do you have the ability to implement, administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers?
7. Do you have a strong knowledge of secure layered tunneling, VPNs (including client based and site to site)?
8. Do you have good technical knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching and network engineering?
9. Do you have strong analytical skills for troubleshooting of Ethernet based telecommunication networks?
10. Are you ok with NET30 payment terms as a Contractor/Freelancer?
