As a staff specialist in Denmark, your main priority will be diagnosing and treating your patients, but you will have the opportunity to do so much more!

➡️ ABOUT THE HOSPITAL
Psychiatry in Central Denmark Region consists of 8 psychiatric departments, which are located all over the region and together they constitute one hospital.
Each department has its own management team on the premises, and the hospital management works in unison with the administration units in the city of Viborg.
In order to ensure the best possible treatment, psychiatry works in partnership with many different specialties in regards to the individual patient, even after the patient has been discharged. For example, the patient’s own GP, municipality, somatic hospitals, social services, and patient associations.

➡️ YOUR DUTIES WILL ENTAIL:
- Independent medical responsibility concerning examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of patients
- Responsibility for preparing treatment plans for patients in collaboration with colleagues
- Supervising and guiding younger doctors, medical students, and other staff members
- Supporting the department's educational anf working enviroment.

- Permanent contract
€ 118,000 minimum yearly salary (including pension benefits; duties are paid on top) as a full- time specialist after you have passed the Danish tests
- 37 hour working weeks
- 6 weeks paid holiday
- A free, intensive language course AFTER your arrival in Denmark to prepare you for the Danish test
- Thorough introduction to the department, hospital, language, and culture
Training on the Danish healthcare system and legislation.
✅ The candidates start working and learning the language at the same time. It means they at first spend 2-3 days at the local language school, and 1-2 days at the department. This ratio gradually changes with time, meaning that after a while, they spend fewer days at the language school and more days at the department, and it goes like this until they pass the final exam. After that, they start working full-time. ✅

- Financial support for up to 20,000 DKK for singles and 30,000 DKK for families
