Urology position in the Hospital in region Gävleborg / Sweden

➡️ Qualification required

- Licensed Specialist in Urology. Educated in EU or recognized and having at least 3 years of experience in an EU-country.

➡️ Description of work at the actual clinic and its assignment and goal
The assignment as a specialist doctor in Urology includes:

- to examine, investigate, assess and treat all types of urological conditions - reception and department work
- operational activities
- guidance to colleagues and AT/ST doctors (trainees and residents)

➡️ Challenges and areas of development within the business

A work to optimize flows for patients at reception and, above all, surgical treatment. Mainly develop transurethral surgery and stone operations.

➡️ Number of employees

2 specialists and 1 ST in Urology. Anyway, the section belongs to the surgical clinic with a total of approximately 25 doctors and a total of approximately 125 employees with various professional skills.

➡️ Job description / what is included in the service and placement?

Investigate and handle urological conditions at reception, surgery and the department at Hudiksvall Hospital.

➡️ Desired Experience

Experienced specialist in Urology. Independent on transurethral surgery.

➡️ Important personal qualities

- Easy to collaborate and communicate with,
- is responsive and able to work both in team and independently,
- has good language skills.

➡️ Salary (as of 2024)

The following gross salary is valid for 2024. From next year, a bit higher salary can be expectable.
Salary as:
- Assistant doctor, general fixed-term employment (during Swedish studies B2 - C1 in combination with work 50/50 before Swedish legitimation and specialist licence): 45 500 SEK/month.
- Legitimated assistant doctor, general fixed-term employment (after receiving a Swedish license and specialist certificate): 49.300 SEK.
(Alternatively, 53.500 SEK as a legitimated assistant doctor with permanent employment if the introduction takes longer than planned from the legitimated assistant doctor till specialist position but where it is seen that the candidate has good chances to develop with additional support.)
- Specialist doctor, permanent employment, when the candidate manages his/ her duties independently: minimum of SEK 72.600. This minimum is for newly graduated specialist. For those who already have had more or less experience as specialists in their home-country, it can be higher such as 75-90.000 SEK.
- Head-doctor, permanent employment. After a while, it is possible to apply for a position as a consultant where the salary is negotiated individually and can be even 90-110.000 SEK.

• During the personal visit which is part of the interview process, the cost of travel, accommodation and meals

• 6-7 months long, free intensive Swedish course up to C1 level, financial support during the course (the amount is topic of negotiation)

• Free language education for adult family members – up to B2 level

• Help with the application for Swedish license to practice, supervision of the process• Free Swedish legal and social training which consists of 40 lessons

• Integration assistance (assistance in registering at tax authority, opening bank account,etc.

• Assistance in job-searching for the spouse

• Assistance in finding school/kindergarten for the children

• Assistance in the organization of moving and in apartment-seeking

• When moving, travel of the family and transport of furniture is partly financiallysupported by the employer. The sum is individually agreed, however, usually it is 15.000 SEK.
